日本を出る前の最大の話題は福島原発だった。日本を出るとそれこそ送迎のあんちゃんからリゾートで知り合ったヨーロピアン、リゾートマネジャーに到るまで、日本は大丈夫か、東京はどうだ、みたいな話ばかり振られる（当然だが）。

それで帰国時に見た現地新聞にはビンラディン氏死亡の記事。

――もうどれもこれも大騒ぎじゃないか。

そのテンションのまま帰ってきたら、テレビで大騒ぎしてるのは焼き肉だ。どうなってんのよこれ。

もちろん食中毒被害に遭われた方はお気の毒とは思うが、客観的に見れば死者数名の一過性案件だ。執拗に連日報道する重大性はない。もう原発やラディンはいいの？　生肉問題より、せめて年間３万人も亡くなっている自殺問題を「１％でも減らすにはどうするか」とか知恵を絞って取材・報道してはどうか。年間にジャンボ100機落ちてるのと同様の死者数なのに。

ガンで死んでもニュースにならない。雑誌で自殺特集組むくらいはしてほしいけどね。
